Children's Book Week

Children's Book Week will be celebrated this year from 17 to 23 August. The theme is Read across the universe.

During the week, the library will have displays of the shortlisted titles and a few special activities.  More details will be released soon.

Check out the Children's Book Council website at cbca.org.au for details of this year's shortlisted books.  The winners of the Children's Book of the Year will be announced on Friday 16 August. Your favourite book might be the winner!

Winter school holidays

Our winter school holiday program for children concluded this morning with a friendship bracelet workshop at Minto Community Library. Thank you to everyone who joined us for some wonderful activities over the past two weeks. We hope you all have a great time as you head back to school next week. Please keep a watch out for other special events at the Library.

 

PJ Storytime

 

Put on your PJs, grab your family, and bring along your favourite teddy bear for a very special storytime event. PJ Storytime is this Thursday 11 July at HJ Daley Library starting at 6.30pm.

Please come and share in the magic of books and reading in the comfort of your own pyjamas!  PJ storytime features stories, songs, rhymes, craft and a bedtime snack.  This activity is suggested for children 3 -10 years. Please come and join us, for information please ring 4645 4444.

National Simultaneous Storytime

Dont' miss the BIGGEST storytime of the year as thousands of kids from around the country read the same book on the same day at the same time! This year we're reading The Wrong Book by Nick Bland.
