Summer Reading Club



Get ready for an Amazing Read at Campbelltown City Library this summer.


Campbelltown City Library is inviting children and families to come in and join the Summer Reading Club.


The Summer Reading Club is a free school holiday program with activities designed especially for children from birth to 16 years old and their families and friends.

Themed The Amazing Read, the Club explores the many different places and spaces to read and the incredible places stories can take you – from the past to outer-space.

The Summer Reading Club is a great way to kick off the National Year of Reading 2012 and promote reading as a fun and enjoyable experience.

The Club is run through the interactive website http://www.summerreadingclub.org.au/ as well exciting activities and events held at the Campbelltown City Library.

Pop into the library to register to participate in the program, receive your free starter pack, go into the draw to win great prizes and have lots of fun. Registrations start on Monday 5 December and you have until Sunday 22 January to return your reading log.

Children's Book Week

We hope that you are all enjoying Children's Book Week. Why not pop into your local library this week and see our special displays.

The Children's Book Week books are very popular at the moment and you may not find them on the shelves. Please ask our friendly staff for help, we are more than happy to put a reserve on any book you want.

Bookalicious members please remember that we are having a special Craftalicious Artinoon on Wednesday at HJ Daley Library between 4pm and 5pm. We hope that you will be able to join us.

PJ Storytime at Minto Library

Don't forget that Children's Book Week is coming in 2 weeks time! This year the theme for Children's Book Week is 'One World Many Stories'. Children's Book Week runs from Saturday 20 August to Friday 26 August.

During the week drop into the library to see the special displays and activities that are happening to celebrate Children's Book Week.

National Simultaneous Storytime













Don't forget to come and participate in National Simultaneous Storytime on Wednesday morning at your local library. We want to join over 170,000 children Australia wide who will be reading Feathers for Phoebe by Rod Clement at 11am. Come a little early and join in our other storytime activities beforehand. National Simultaneous Storytime


We would love to invite all children and parents/carers to come and join us for the 2011 National Simultaneous Storytime. Sessions will be running at all Campbelltown City Library locations. At 11.00am on Wednesday 25th May children from all around Australia will enjoy a simultaneous storytime of Feathers for Phoebe.

Feathers for Phoebe is written by Rod Clement. It is a story about Phoebe a plain grey bird who searches for ways to make new friends while using an assortment of brightly coloured costumes.

We hope you can join us for this very special storytime.
