Threatened Species Storytimes

Curl up for storytime at any of our library branches from 6 to 9 September, and you’ll be learning about threatened species and what can be done to help protect them. The specially-themed sessions  will include a book and craft activities.

Happy Children's Book Week everyone!

We are celebrating Children's Book Week with a variety of activities throughout the week.

Why not pop in to your local library this week and see what is going on.

For the babies we have a special Baby Read 'n' Rhyme session at HJ Daley Library on Monday 22 August from 10.30am to 11am.

We also have special storytimes in our regular time slots and displays in all branches of the library as well as our lucky draw prize.

There will also be a special PJ Storytime celebrating Children's Book Week at Glenquarie Library on Thursday 25 August starting at 6pm.

For any child or young adult who borrows with their library card at any branch of the library from Friday 21 August to Friday 28 August can enter our lucky draw prize. There will be two winners from every branch. Entries open today and close 26 August. All winners will be notified on Friday 2 September.

Lucky Prize Draw

To celebrate Children's Book Week which starts tomorrow any child or young adult who borrows with their library card at any branch of the library from today until Friday 26 August can enter our lucky draw prize. There will be two winners from every branch. Entries open today and close 26 August. All winners will be notified on Friday 2 September.

Children's Book Week is coming

Children's Book Week will be celebrated this year from 20 to 26 August. The theme is Australia! Story Country.

During the week, the library will have displays of the shortlisted titles and a few special activities. Please watch this space for more information about happenings during Children's Book Week.

The winners of the Children's Book of the Year will be announced on Friday 19 August. Your favourite book might be the winner!

National Tree Day Storytimes

National Tree Day is coming up later this week and we will be hosting tree-themed storytimes and eco-friendly activities in our libraries!


We are very fortunate to have beautiful bushland and amazing trees in Campbelltown - take a look at our Campbelltown City Council Bushcare page for ways you could be part of caring for our area and join in a National Tree Day planting event held in Bradbury.

For HJ Daley Library storytimers we will start at our usual starting time of 10.30am.  For all other library branches come at 10.45am so we are ready to read  I got this hat written by Jol and Kate Temple at exactly 11am with children all around Australia.

Free Comic Book Day - A Big "Thank You"

Free Comic Book Day is over for another year! A big "Thank You" to all who came along, we hope you enjoyed the day. A special "Thank You" to comic artist Matthew Lin and the Macarthur Quidditch Club for helping make the day such a success.

National Simultaneous Storytime
