The Reading Hour is coming

 
This year, the Reading Hour will be held be on Tuesday 19 August between 6pm and 7pm.

We will be celebrating with a special family PJ Storytime at HJ Daley Library. Join us for an hour of stories, fun and games celebrating the joy of reading. Come in your pyjamas and bring your favourite teddy and join us for a special storytime in the library at night.

Following this special storytime event, why not browse the library and borrow some books to continue the reading experience at home together as a family?

Children's Book Week is coming


Children's Book Week will be celebrated this year from 16 to 22 August. The theme is Connect to Reading.

During the week, the library will have displays of the shortlisted titles and a few special activities. Please watch this space for more information about happenings during Children's Book Week.

Why not check out the Children's Book Council website at www.cbca.org.au for details of this year's shortlisted books.

The winners of the Children's Book of the Year will be announced on Friday 15 August. Your favourite book might be the winner!

Baby Read 'n' Rhyme

PJ Storytime

The last of our school holiday programs for Winter run tomorrow. If you haven't been to visit us over the school holidays why not bring your family and come along to PJ Storytime. PJ Storytime will be held at HJ Daley Library on Thursday 10 July at 6.30pm! Why not wear your PJ's, bring a teddy or your favourite cuddly toy and enjoy a special storytime in the library at night.
